Healthcare Services Available at the Surgery
PLEASE NOTE – ALL PATIENTS ATTENTING THE PRACTICE HAVE THE OPTION TO WEAR A FACE MASK.
Please ensure that you bring your own with you to your appointment. A home-made mask is acceptable, but if you do not have one a disposable mask can be provided. Please be aware that we do have a limited supply and priority must be given to surgery staff.

Health Checks
Our nursing team offer checks on blood pressure, weight and urine, advice on dieting, stopping smoking and alcohol consumption.
Routine cervical smears and breast examinations are offered with the Practice nurse every 3 years.
There is an increasing awareness of the importance of regular checks for testicular masses and prostate problems in men.
Registered patients aged 16 – 74 who have not been seen for three years may request a consultation.
Diabetes, Asthma & High Blood Pressure
We hold regular specific clinics which you may be invited to attend if you suffer chronic illness.
Contraception
The Practice has contraceptive services, please book an appointment with the Practice Nurses to discuss.
Ante-Natal Care
All the doctors undertake ante-natal care at the surgery in conjunction with the midwives in the maternity unit. Please contact the midwife to arrange your appointment.
Child Health and Immunisations
Dr Edwards & Dr Butcher and the Practice Nurses hold clinics weekly in the surgery unless otherwise stated.
Travel Immunisations
We use the latest computer updated advice from the London School of Tropical Medicine.

Introducing eConsult
We are now very pleased to be able to offer a new free service called eConsult which enables you to contact us for advice about your health conditions, including requesting sick notes and GP letters if deemed appropriate. Do you feel unwell and have a request for the practice? Then start an eConsult on line for free. Go to patients.econsult.health or visit our practice website of www.dolgellaudoctors.org
Choose the relevant section for your request and submit an eConsult. There are many options to choose from and we review every one submitted to the practice. If you need an appointment after your eConsult we will ask you to contact the practice to arrange one, respond with advice or a prescription. PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY THIS SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF WELSH.
Minor Surgery
Dr Edwards and Dr Butcher will undertake minor surgical procedures .
