Please ensure that you bring your own with you to your appointment. A home-made mask is acceptable, but if you do not have one a disposable mask will be provided.
Join a COVID19 clinical trial
The PRINCIPLE trial aims to find treatment that reduce hospital admission and improve symptoms for people with COVID19. You could be eligible to join if you have had these symptoms for fewer than 15 days:
a new/worsening cough or high temp OR you have had a positive test taken less than 15 days ago, AND are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms. Are you over 65? Pregnant?, have a medical condition such as asthma, diabetes, heart, chest, liver or kidney problems?, weakened immune system? and a carer?
then FLU be a very serious illness, especially if you have any of the above.
We are already underway planning our forthcoming Flu Immunisation Clinics. Please be aware that you will be able to book an appointment closer to the clinics in September 2021.
Our nursing team offer checks on blood pressure, weight and urine, advice on dieting, stopping smoking and alcohol consumption.
Routine cervical smears and breast examinations are offered with the Practice nurse every 3 years.
There is an increasing awareness of the importance of regular checks for testicular masses and prostate problems in men.
Registered patients aged 16 – 74 who have not been seen for three years may request a consultation.
Diabetes, Asthma & High Blood Pressure
We hold regular specific clinics which you may be invited to attend if you suffer chronic illness.
The Practice has contraceptive services, please book an appointment with the Practice Nurses to discuss.
All the doctors undertake ante-natal care at the surgery in conjunction with the midwives in the maternity unit. Please contact the midwife to arrange your appointment.
Child Health and Immunisations
Dr Tam, Practice Nurse and the Health Visitor hold a clinic from 9am – 11.30am weekly in the surgery unless otherwise stated.
We use the latest computer updated advice from the London School of Tropical Medicine.
We are now very pleased to be able to offer a new free service called eConsult which enables you to contact us for advice about your health conditions, including requesting sick notes and GP letters if deemed appropriate. Choose the relevant section for your request and submit an eConsult. There are many options to choose from and we review every one submitted to the practice. If you need an appointment after your eConsult we will ask you to contact the practice to arrange one, respond with advice or a prescription. PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY THIS SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF WELSH.
Dr Edwards and Dr Tam will undertake minor surgical procedures .
